Streetwear brands such as Vetements, A Cold Wall, and more have designed pants that are deliberately reversed, so that The Orioles Signatures Shirt seams and inner pockets are displayed on the outside. Given Mrs. Trump’s past horticultural choices—who can forget her chilling, Tim Burton–esque Christmas decor?—the announcement had the potential to be concerning. Is the storied green space about to get the gilt-and-marble Mar-a-Lago treatment? But according to a “landscape report” submitted to the Committee for the Preservation of the White House that was obtained by the Times, Melania’s plan adheres to Jacqueline Kennedy and Rachel “Bunny” Mellon’s original Rose Garden revamp, including newly planted white “J.F.K.” and pale pink “peace” roses.
