In my opinion because of the Daballs of steel South Park and rugby ball t-shirt Apart from…,I will love this comical nature of the anime. I doubt we are gonna get any serious answers or explanations on where his strength comes from. Well apart from the whole breaking his limiter thing. But hey I for one am more than okay with that. Quite frankly I don’t even wanna know. I think it will ruin the whole mystery and uniqueness of Saitama for me. I think the main reason people hate him is mainly because of certain fans, not all of them, but the ones who get into debates about him being able to win any fight just because of the shows name. Some of the fans believe that since he can beat someone with one or more punches, that means he can win every fight. This is what I hate about those kind of people, they don’t think about how powerful he actually is. Even I used to be that until I thought to myself how he would fair against other people and then I realized that basing him off of the title of the show is just ridiculous. Sure he has beaten many people with a single punch, and it took him a lot more to take down Boros, but we can’t automatically make the assumption that he beat everybody just because he has done that with low tier people. But to be honest I love the character and the show too. I think it’s funny and kind of cool to see him in action, even if it’s not a huge battle. If people would stop saying things like he could take on the powerful people like Goku, Galactus, and certain versions of Superman . But unless he beats people who are way more powerful than Boros, that can do way more damage, then maybe it would be more believable, but it just gets annoying when people constantly bring him up and say that since he beat this one dude, he can beat everybody. But unless the character was on the power level of, I don’t know Superboy Prime or the Beyonder then it’s just not possible.
